She’s liberating, she’s independent and she’s definitely assertive. The Santoni woman is one of a glowing nature, she breathes fashion and uses this power to write her own history
The collection is primarily inspired from a 1970’s trance, bringing together the bohemian side and the uptown elegance. The uniqueness of this collection lies in the exclusive craftsmanship, handmade pride and use of exceptional materials. The result? Timelessly chic shoes playfully hopping from masculine to feminine. The shoes revel in an eccentric aura depicted through block heel sandals, bold platforms elongating the silhouette and double buckles in slippers and flat sandals. Metallic flashes in flat lace-ups from here and weavings, fringes and nappa leathers from there; it’s all an eclectic melting pot of moods. While miniature threading cover the embroidered heels, colorful pythons balance out the masculine flat shoes and precious crystal appliqués on luxurious satin create a sophisticated movement. A rich palette ranging from tones of brown and green to cream and pastel is combined to a set of intensely refined materials such as calfskin, crocodile, python and satin.
The Santoni collection is an amalgamation of uptown and downtown, gracefully taking over the interiors of Palazzo Bovara. As such, art-director, photographer and cultural agitator Olivier Zahm, and Director of the influential Purple Magazine come together in a series of super 8 films to portray the woman of Santoni in non-digital images. The picturesque space is nothing but a symbol of unprecedented glamour, created by visionary set designer Simon Costin.
A more elaborate view of the glamourous collection is available in the Photo Gallery.
