For the season of Spring-Summer 2016, Alice and Olivia’s designer Sophia Bendet relied on a boho-chic vibe, thus creating a collection full of the joys of the desert.
Think urban glamour mixed with desert-y dunes, where models sensually slip in hand-embroidered skirts, goddess gowns, off-the-shoulder bodices and dresses and patchwork lace gowns. In this collection, it seems the winds of change have blown, creating a shift in perceptions of daywear. Evidently so, chic dresses are paired with knee-high sandals and chiffons and ruffles incorporate garments in shades of nude, blue, blush, ivory and hints of red.
Perhaps the most striking of all remains the denim line, conjuring up images of floral hand-embroidered flared jeans and slowly -but surely- alluding to the sophisticated and independent woman. Bendet also stuck to old-fashioned black-and-white designs for the classic lovers but of course, with a boho twist.
Accessories are no exception to the desert fever, as the collection puts into sight knee-high boots, suede gladiators, wedges, slides, beaded clutches and suede hobos.
