Lucas Ossendrijver’s 10th Year at Lanvin

The fall of 2016 commemorates Lucas Ossendrijver’s 10th year as Lanvin’s head of menswear.

Constantly defying the norms, Ossendrijver creates the unthinkable from scratch. Where each collection has its own set of rules, each technique has its own set of fabrics, designed from scratch to suit the likes of the cosmopolitan man.

Known for its staple tailoring traditions and its finely cut-out suits, the House celebrated today the emancipation of sportswear in the most classical of ways, drawing hints to the freedom of style, though peculiarly bound by perfection.

The winter 2016-2017 collection screams inside-out jackets, beautiful patchworks and hand-made to-stitched T-shirts. The gist of it all? The Lanvin man is a constantly changing persona, embracing a true fashionable revolution.

Ossendrijver stated “When I think Lanvin, the first words that come to mind are suits, beautiful fabrics and luxury”.

The fashion world is now ruled by the one who truly embraces change. That said, the Lanvin man is self-confident and asserted with his oversized outfits and sporty sneakers

"I like clothes that live. Clothes that age with dignity and elegance. A piece of clothing is designed to be of service, to accompany the wearer. It should emphasise a personality, not overpower it. The worst transgression of taste is uniformity" said Lucas Ossendrijver.
