Think you can outsmart Gucci? Think again. The luxurious House has unveiled its latest video project, 24HourAce, inviting a number of artists to take part in their new collaborative work, where each and every one of them takes over the House’s Snapchat account for one hour.
The process goes as follows; all artists from around the world post a 60 min video illustrating their collaboration with Gucci as they wear the tennis shoes, starting with Tokyo at 5am CET and ending with New York City, hours later.
It all takes part of an Instagram-based project to shed the light on Gucci’s tennis shoes, the Ace sneaker, whereby the House invites creatives from every corner of the world to present a visual collaboration, from Koren longboarder Hyo Joo Ko to the contemporary New York-based New Gothic artist Sue de Beer, Norwegian Snapchat star Geeoh Snap, Brazilian street artist Ananda Nahu and Hong Kong director Frank Nitty.
Perhaps it’s yet another initiative to put “self-expression” on the highest of pedestals, but we see it as another Gucci way to shine oh-so brightly!
