Nighttime Beauty Routine

You might be thinking what routine? I fall asleep on the couch. Then I barely make it to my bed, where I clean my face with a makeup remover wipe that I grab from my night stand and soon after, I totally pass out. This is ok once in a while, but remember that taking care of yourself is a form of self love which makes you happier. It’s not as hard as you think, and once you get used to a routine it becomes a no-brainer, just like brushing your teeth every morning. Speaking of which let’s get to our list.

Get your hair out of your face to begin your skincare routine. Even if you didn’t wear makeup it’s important to wash off the day. I have been loving the Micellar Water trend lately. It’s not a new alkaline water brand, it’s actually a new form of makeup removal that only requires a cotton pad. I like the Dior Instant Cleansing Water with Pure Lily Extract because it’s gentle yet removes everything.

Although my makeup is completely off, I still like the feel of washing my face so I move on to a gentle face wash like CeRave.

After toning, I apply a nourishing serum such as the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II along with an eye cream.
Don’t forget to floss and brush your teeth!

What’s the trick here? Do all of this before getting on the couch and turning on the TV or scrolling through social media. Brushing your teeth might also help you from reaching for those late night snacks.

Put a bottle of water next to your bed so you can drink it as soon as you wake up.
Hydrate any dry areas like lips, elbows or feet.
Slip into something cozy and enjoy the rest of your night! Bonne Nuit!
