On this very day, every fashion maven, including Anna Wintour, was headed to witness the moment where singer-turned-designer Victoria Beckham would show us the next season’s most winning designs.
The collection was sending a very graphic message indeed, showcasing a rationale made out of cut-out pieces, bralettes, satin fluid pants and velvet dresses, all of which were combined with white leather boots. It was actually all very fluid and strangely romantic. Think sharp knife pleats on midi skirts and carrot pants combined with low boots. Think satin pantsuits in a mirror-ish white color. Think grace and style, à la Victoria Beckham. Colors echoed an audacious freshness, varying from navy tones to beige, white and orange hues. The dresses were subtle but extremely alluring, showing hints of stripes at times and shadows of a floral pattern at other times- but a matching bag seemed to be always following the current. One particular sign made its way to a series of looks, pegged as a cross-bag melting away in the outfit. The collection is totally Victoria!
