Oscar De La Renta’s creative directors Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia have always had a thing for couture-like dresses and gowns, worthy of red carpet events. This time though, they seemed to be leaning more towards a refined simplicity, as models were seen floating down the runway like beautiful angels. The duo evoked timeless beauty in white crochet dresses and knife pleats. There were a lot of graphic lines defining the designs as well as hints of sheer adding.

The collection had this Greek-meets-De La Renta vibe that attendees couldn’t get enough of and they were later encapsulated in a romantic trance of long gowns, belted waits and romantic ruffles. Bralettes were paired with midi skirts at times and formal pants at other times.  There were bits and pieces of a paisley pattern and then there were hints of gold bedazzlement. From chiffon dresses to plumage gowns and shoulder-bearing cuts, it was all there!

Over the course of its long artistic journey, the brand has showed nothing but great commitment to top-notch design and at this very moment, it was all-too elegant!
