In celebration of the women’s Royal Oak 40th anniversary, Audemars Piguet launches a new edition of this timepiece in the Middle East. The manufacture has reinvented this iconic design in two versions, white gold and yellow gold, and honors through this launch the style and character of the female designers who have contributed to the legacy of this watch – from Jacqueline Dimier who imagined the first Royal Oak for women in 1976 by reinterpreting Gerald Genta’s initial 1972 model to today’s collaboration with jewelry designer Carolina Bucci.

Not only is Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak Frosted Gold a watch, but also a jewelry piece on its own. Its sparkle comes from a surface treatment process rooted in an ancient hammering technique called Florentine technique. Used in her workshops for decades, the latter has triggered the idea of this collaboration with Carolina Bucci. Months of trial have led to this stunning result, as applying this surface treatment technique to the case and bracelet was a real challenge.

What sets this timepiece apart, besides being a watch created by a woman for women, is its appeal that captures the attention from afar. Thanks to the fusion between modern horology and contemporary jewelry design, Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak has just turned 40 years younger!
