Very few labels have managed to distinguish themselves thanks to one piece of clothing alone. With its flattering bandage dress, the Hervé Léger fashion house is among those that have.
It came as no surprise that this particular dress held a big role in Max Azria’s latest collection for Hervé Léger: why change something that works?
This season, the Tunisian designer used the bandage garb as centerpiece and gave it a funky makeover. A pink-and-blue version of it launched the show and was morphed into a modern kimono. Golden beads were stitched onto bronze hued dresses, which could’ve easily been worn by either Cleopatra or Grace Jones.
Salmon-pink bandage tube-tops also got golden embellishments while bandage swimsuits got side-cropped to further compliment silhouettes.
Is Azria trying to make us all look like supermodels? We’re not complaining.
