If you’ve watched the 70th edition of the BAFTAs on TV or browsed through the flurry of images on instagram and twitter, you’d have noticed the gorgeous statement pieces the actresses wore to the show. From the splendid earrings worn by the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton to the sumptuous jewels on Viola Davis, the diamonds and colored gems sparkled glamorously on the red carpet. Most stars chose big and bold jewels for their evening gowns, while a few like Emma Stone and Daisy Ridley opted for subtle diamond jewelry. This season at The BAFTAs, Bulgari, Chopard, Harry Winston, Tiffany, Lorraine Schwartz and Chanel were the key luxury brands of choice for many.

Inspired by the jewels, we’ve rounded up some red carpet worthy statement pieces – rings, necklaces and earrings.

Drawing upon ribbons that were beloved to Queen Marie-Antoinette and the jeweled garlands of the Belle Epoque, Chaumet’s new Insolence collection pays homage to sentiments and the bow-knots that have eternally symbolized the bonds of love and affection. Insolence narrates the story of a diamond ribbon and a rose gold rope chain that intertwines, ties and unties in abandon. Carefree, and spontaneous, embracing love and life’s pleasures, the motif and the creations thereof are utterly feminine and beautiful.

Sunny moments and joy have been lovingly captured by Piaget in its collection aptly titled the Sunny Side of Life, while the Paris High Jewelry Week saw Chanel bring out its new Coco Avant Chanel collection illustrating its “quest for freedom, the desire for sobriety, and the search for lightness” as embodied by Chanel’s style.
