When I think of summer, I think of a deserted island filled with palm trees, golden sands and crystal-clear water. Erdem Moralioğlu, on the other hand, envisions a glamorous jungle.

The Canadian-born British-Turkish designer fashioned an exotic vintage line this season. Green-leaves were embroidered on black lace dresses while white Victorian gowns had an edgy wild touch.

While the collection was indeed a summer one, Erdem’s “Jane” has got to be prepared for anything. This meant thick woolen coats and camouflage dresses. Green and blue tinted plumes were stitched together to create bushy coats while trees were printed onto dresses.

Although I’m not too sure how many city ladies will sport the look, I’m ready to bet that the modern-day Tarzan will be smitten.
