There’s something quite tricky about describing Just Cavalli’s latest collection.
At first, when funky teal & purple prints came out on boyish cuts, we were convinced that Mr. Cavalli had been inspired by Tokyo’s unusual street-style. A petite green dress, covered with lavish black tinsels and feathers immediately changed our minds, and transported us back to the Twenties.
Flowing thin garbs paired with neck-scarves and star-shaped shades came next: were we now in the hippie sixties? It was hard to tell.
Thick leather belts, woven jackets and denim pants had that bohemian Wild Wild West flair. Was Cavalli playing with us? We weren’t too sure, but either way we loved what we saw.
When a collection takes so many elements from the past to create enticing looks, you absolutely know that the mastermind behind it has got quite a high level of expertise.
