Dior has unveiled the new Saltwind sneaker, a design inspired by the original canvas shoes historically worn by Marine sailors on boats. Reinterpreted through the House’s contemporary aesthetic, the model revisits the classic maritime sneaker while introducing distinctive design codes.

The shoe features a flexible rubber sole and a rounded, wide silhouette – a recognizable visual signature associated with Jonathan Anderson – designed to enhance comfort and ease of wear. It is offered in several refined materials, including black and vintage Dior Oblique jacquard, gray or green nubuck, and embroidered canvas decorated with the founding couturier’s lucky symbols such as four-leaf clovers and flowers. Each variation highlights a different character while maintaining the model’s signature shape. Two additional versions expand the line: one detailed with blue and orange embroidery, and another crafted in beige wool with a metallic houndstooth pattern. In addition, contrasting grosgrain stitching and subtle “Dior” branding on the heel and tongue complete the design.
