As Geneva welcomed watch enthusiasts from all around the world, AzyaaMode had its own share of adventures at this year’s edition of Watches & Wonders. And the least we could say is that the much-anticipated exhibition promised a horological year filled with groundbreaking complications and bold new designs.

The first stop was at Van Cleef & Arpels, where poetry and dreamy complications are brought to life ever-so-masterfully. The Midnight Jour Nuit Phase de Lune watch expands the Maison’s poetic vision of time, celebrating the Moon – one of its most enduring sources of inspiration. Housed in a 42-mm white gold case, the timepiece features a mesmerizing dial crafted from black Murano aventurine glass evoking a shimmering night sky, while two complications work in harmony: the iconic Jour/Nuit display, where a golden sun gradually gives way to a mother-of-pearl moon over a 24-hour cycle, and an astronomical moon-phase indication that faithfully mirrors the lunar cycle.

Second stop was at Hublot’s booth, where the Big Bang Impact One Million watch showcased a dazzling fusion of Haute Horlogerie and High Jewellery, featuring 500 diamonds arranged in a dynamic vortex around a central flying tourbillon. Celebrating a decade of groundbreaking gem-setting, it’s a proof of Hublot’s mastery through an intricate three-dimensional construction that transforms technical complexity into a bold, sculptural statement.

At Tag Heuer, the Monaco Chronograph watch remains a bold icon of avant-garde design, defined by its unmistakable square case, sharp geometry, and pioneering spirit first revealed in 1969. Reimagined with refined ergonomics, a lightweight titanium case, and elevated dial details, the latest iteration returns to its roots while enhancing both comfort and visual impact.

Moving to Roger Dubuis, the Excalibur Lady of the Lake watch inspired by Arthurian legend, pays tribute to Vivian, the mystical guardian of Excalibur, blending storytelling with fine watchmaking. Encased in 36mm rose gold set with diamonds and powered by the refined RD830 automatic calibre, it unites jewel-like elegance with technical precision.

At Bvlgari, the Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon Platinum timepiece pushes the limits of haute horlogerie with a record-breaking 1.85 mm profile, combining ultra-thin engineering with the rare elegance of a full platinum case and bracelet. Produced in just 10 pieces, this exceptional watch pairs its world’s thinnest flying tourbillon with refined blue accents and cutting-edge craftsmanship.

Ending the day at Zenith, the Chronomaster Sport watch continues to embody the legacy of the legendary El Primero calibre, blending over five decades of high-frequency chronograph precision with contemporary design. In its new steel and rose gold execution, it refines its sporty identity with a more versatile, understated elegance that transitions effortlessly across occasions.
