Set within Cy Twombly’s Palazzo, Valentino’s Pre-Fall 2026 campaign transforms the historic residence into a living narrative. Purchased by Cy Twombly in 1975, the villa served as his private sanctuary and creative laboratory for over three decades, retaining a timeless stillness where traces of his presence remain deeply embedded.
The campaign builds on Valentino’s heritage, recalling Henry Clarke’s 1968 images of Valentino Garavani’s white collection shot in Twombly’s Roman apartment. Rather than revisiting the past, the new visuals reinterpret it, emphasizing transformation and continuity. Unlike the composed stillness of 1968, the Pre-Fall 2026 campaign introduces movement and instability. Bodies interact dynamically with space, while color disrupts uniformity. The accompanying video deepens this narrative, presenting a fluid dialogue between identity, memory, and environment – where meaning remains open, shifting, and unresolved.
