At Schiaparelli, couture is an exercise in imagination. Rooted in the surrealist legacy of Elsa Schiaparelli, the house continues to challenge conventions while redefining modern luxury.
In his Fall/Winter 2026-2027 Haute Couture collection for Schiaparelli entitles The Abyss, Daniel Roseberry challenges traditional craftsmanship by pairing noble fabrics with silicone. Inspired by Matthew Barney’s The Cremaster Cycle, the collection pushes the limits of material design to create augmented reality bodies that seem to illuminate from within. Ultimately, the garments question whether true beauty resides in the material itself or in the imagination capable of reinventing it.
