Buccellati introduced Serenissima, its new high jewelry collection, celebrating the enduring beauty and artistic heritage of Venice. Inspired by the city’s Renaissance legacy and the refined lace-making tradition of Burano, the collection reflects the craftsmanship and elegance that have long defined both Venice and the Maison.
Named after the historic Republic of Venice, Serenissima pays homage to a city renowned for its prosperity, culture and beauty. The collection draws on Mario Buccellati’s fascination with Burano’s delicate needle lace, transforming its lightness, transparency and intricate patterns into finely crafted jewelry.
Using Buccellati’s signature openwork technique, gold is shaped into flowing lace-like designs by master goldsmiths, who carefully refine every detail by hand. Each piece is enhanced with Renaissance-inspired engraving techniques, preserving traditional craftsmanship.
“With Serenissima, we wanted to capture the soul of Venice, its magic and its millennia-old history,” said Andrea Buccellati, Honorary President and Creative Director of the Maison, describing the collection as a dialogue between Buccellati’s goldsmithing tradition and Venice’s timeless beauty.
