In celebration of its milestone 90th anniversary, Maison FRED has unveiled Monsieur Fred Golden Light, the spectacular final chapter of its High Jewelry trilogy dedicated to founder Fred Samuel. Comprising 15 virtuosic creations across five distinct sets, the collection captures the fleeting, emotional transition of dawn breaking over the French Riviera.
The narrative moves chronologically from the deep-blue tanzanite hues of a fading night in Cannes to the iridescent green-flash horizons of Èze – expertly captured through hypnotic Australian opal marquetry and Colombian emeralds – before blooming into radiant Sri Lankan yellow sapphire mimosas that channel the pure joie de vivre of the Mediterranean coast.
The crown jewel of this creative saga is the historic debut of the Soleil d’Or, a magnificent Fancy Intense Yellow diamond weighing an astounding 101.57 carats. Reacquired by the Maison’s heritage collection in 2021 by Vice President Valérie Samuel, the legendary gem serves as the beating heart of a majestic, lacelike plastron necklace. In an extraordinary feat of technical engineering, the historic stone is mounted upon a detachable brooch, allowing it to be admired and worn for the very first time in its storied history.
Complete with asymmetrical tanzanite waterfalls that convert into multiple styling options, the collection beautifully marries FRED's signature transformability with an unconditional love for colored stones, successfully anchoring the house's historic legacy in a dazzling, contemporary dawn.
