For Summer 2027, Chloé Creative Director Chemena Kamali explores the Maison’s heritage through instinct, emotion and personal obsessions. The “Obsession” collection revisits Chloé archetypes through new interpretations of their beauty, drawing on the House’s early “robes de jeunes filles” and 19th-century broderie anglaise. Archival threadwork is translated onto fabrics ranging from delicate organza to crisp, heavy cotton.
Kamali also looks to Chloé’s 1960s three-dimensional floral embroidery, using couture-level craftsmanship to create texture and depth while preserving a youthful sense of ease. Necklines – including heart-shaped, bateau, square and V-shapes – anchor the silhouettes.
Outerwear takes inspiration from 1970s fishermen’s coats, capes and sou’wester hats, layered with smoky transparent vinyl inspired by 1950s rainwear. The tailored 1972 “Noel” suit also informs the collection, while delicate lingerie lace is transformed into romantic harnesses.
Through these references, Kamali presents a collection rooted in Chloé’s heritage and her enduring connection to the Maison.
