Princess Esther Kamatari Appointed Guerlain’s New Ambassador

by Mirella Haddad

Esther Kamatari is announced to be the new ambassador of Guerlain. The Burundi princess was one of the first black top models to walk the Paris runways after she was exiled from her country Burundi in Africa and moved to live in the French capital.

Kamatri is a writer and model and is known for her humanitarian commitments, especially to those related to women’s rights. In common values with Guerlain, Kamatari cherishes legacy, the culture of beauty and the promise of creating exceptional products that make every woman feel beautiful.

The house of Guerlain and Esther Kamatari met five years ago for the first time in Clichy-sous-Bois and Montfermeil within the framework of the “Cultures & Creation” fashion show. Highlighting the creative spirit and the diversity of multiculturalism, Guerlain was the first beauty house to contribute to this project whereby Kamatari trains the models from diverse backgrounds to walk fashion's biggest runways.
