There are a lot of perfectly good reasons to ruffle-it up this summer, but the best one might just be Rani Zakhem’s Spring-Summer ready- to -wear capsule collection. Let’s just say that the famed Lebanese designer is welcoming the new season with vibrant colors and ever-so refined materials.
The collection comprises floor-length dresses and skirts and structured tops which are all imprinted with geometrical 3d detail. Expanding his horizon in terms of patterns and moods, the Lebanese designer used this rainbow-like – albeit sophisticated- crafted design in the majority of his pieces, creating an all-time classy modernistic vibe. The designs are mostly asymmetrical, from tops to skirts and dresses, giving the collection a somewhat edgy feel, balanced out with fine materials and clear colors.
Mid-rise slim-leg- pants crafted from hand-embroidered tulle are making their way through the divine collection, paired with belted flowy tops and double layered tops perkily adorned with a side bow, while mini-dresses create a doll-like look what with the printed taffeta ruffles, the embroidered black lace on a skin colored tulle base and most importantly the circle-skirt effect.
A calmer yet “chic” style appears through the long transparent gowns, as they continue to unravel in curve-hugging designs that come in embroidered lace, tulle, chiffon and draped georgette.
Summoning a femme fatale look, the collection is entirely made out of a palette of black, white and beige colors and multi-colored taffeta printed patterns. It also boasted some of the best materials you could ever lay your eyes –or hands- on, such as dreamy chiffon ruffles, tulle, embroidered lace, taffeta, organza, crêpe de chine and double georgette.
But since words are just words and can never do enough justice to the collection, we’ve embedded the dreamy collection in the Photo Gallery for your viewing pleasure.
