Starting the New Year with the spirit of giving, Louis Vuitton joins forces with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to provide vulnerable children around the world with help. This partnership aims at raising funds for the organization in order to support those who are exposed to situations that threaten their safety.
Therefore, every bit of help counts and can make a difference. A specially designed piece, the Silver Lockit, will be available in all Louis Vuitton stores around the world and on www.louisvuitton.com/lvforunicef starting today, January 13th. For each Silver Lockit bracelet or pendant sold, 200$ will be donated to UNICEF, which is also receiving direct donations through the website. Inspired by the lock Georges Vuitton invented in 1890 to protect his clients’ precious belongings, it has now become a symbol of protection.
Beside the Silver Lockit, LV launched digital campaign #MAKEAPROMISE to raise awareness and funds on the occasion of the 6th biennial UNICEF BALL held on January 12th in Los Angeles. This campaign is designed to encourage people to join the house’s promise to help children in urgent need.
“When children make a promise, they take it seriously,” said Michael Burke, Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton. “These are promises that come straight from the heart.”
