Derived from an unpretentious sophistication, the Michael Kors collection sees no boundaries. This ingenuity is captured by Mario Testino’s virtuosity, who in turn never fails to deliver flawless moments truly representing the collection at hand.
“I was thinking about optimistic blue skies and the American West, and about women who are strong and sexy at the same time .This collection balances a romantic softness with relaxed menswear tailoring in a way that’s naturally glamorous,” says Michael Kors.
The campaign is a simple extension to the dreamy tale of Fall 2015, when a chic woman was pictured riding a classic car, ready to take on a wild adventure to a marvelous destination. Consequently, model Vanessa Moody was depicted through Mario Testino’s lens in a vintage convertible, dressed oh-so luxuriously with messy hair, awaiting a voyage of sheer relaxation. It all ends in a modernistic and relaxed mood that mirrors the Michael Kors Collection.
But this season is one of innovation, shedding the light on the new faces of Aneta Pajak and Grace Hartzel. The two models enjoy a beautiful sunny day as they take a drive on the streets of Beverly Hills, California, passing through the iconic palm trees and exuding an air of friendly girlish moments. An afternoon of sun-and fun- shot by the famed photographer in the most casual of ways.
The campaign itself is The big deal. We’re talking mass media invasion in US Vogue, Vanity Fair and Harper’s Bazaar, reaching 39 countries alone across the Americas, Europe and Asia. Taking over the digital outlets, the campaign will also reach the helms of social media and outdoor media platforms. This is just the perfect Michael Kors and Mario Testino mash-up.
