Saint Laurent has adopted a new store concept since the arrival of creative director Hedi Slimane in 2012, hence mirroring the house’s unique personality. And now, it is magically present at the heart of the Mall of The Emirates, exuding both luxury and wonder.
Its eminence comes back to the rich use of a simple yet noble decor, granting the boutique a one-of-a-kind luxurious feel.
True to its French roots, the flagship boutique features a French Art Deco design highlighted by a monochrome marble set, added to a dash of silver and gold in the mirrored vitrines.
Evidently so, Hedi Slimane wanted to convey a modernistic message to the fashion world, welcoming them into the magical land of Saint Laurent. Upon entering the boutique, shoppers will undoubtedly feel the contrasting mood triggered by quilted leather combined with mirrors, austere podiums and chic display cases. It all takes part of a much-desired geometrical endeavor, floating in a cocktail of clear-cut horizontal and vertical lines of display cases and modernistic strip lighting.
The undeniably intricate and evolved setting is a fine example of the house’s contemporary craftsmanship.
