Vibrant colors, playful patterns, six-pointed stars on walls and fantasy furniture; these are a few items decorating Gucci’s new children’s floor at its Milan Montenapoleone flagship store. Picture a huge playroom with pistachio-colored carpets, navy-and-white striped wallpaper and another one in yellow and white. A luxurious wonderland, right?

The space was designed by none other than Alessandro Michele- Gucci’s Design Director- whose vision is nothing short of eclectic empowerment. The original motifs and the bold allusion to the world of flora and fauna make for an interesting outlook, which seems to emanate from a child’s wildest imagination.

The wild whirlpool of patterns and fabrics unravel in the House’s symbolic herbarium print while a few of the decorations take on a wooden effect with colors skewing from red to blue, pale pink, hazel and white. Along come display cases and small mannequins in colored velvet, creating the perfect child-like atmosphere.

Welcome to Gucci’s fashionable fairyland!
