Rubaiyat Group and Vogue Italia Announce Finalists

Depicted as a grandiose program to merge the private sector with the media – on a corporate social responsibility level- the Jeddah Vogue Fashion Experience has been thoroughly programmed to put young Saudi talents on an international pedestal.

As such, Rubaiyat Group and Vogue Italia have now announced the finalists of the fashion scouting, a forum sponsored by the Italian Condé Nast publication and the Saudi group and under the patronage of the HRH Princess Adelah bint Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Chairperson of the National Home Health Care Foundation. Evidently so, the finalist will be able to showcase their collections from the 20th till the 22nd of April, which will then lead to a chance for the female contestants to sell their collections at Rubaiyat department store in Jeddah. Once the competition is over, the winner will enjoy presenting her collection in Milan.

The brands that have made it to the final lists are as follow:

Arwa Al Banawi, a Saudi designer based in Dubai, who first presented her ready-to-wear collection in 2015.

Atulier, a Jeddah based womenswear brand founded by Samar Nasraldin in 2014 that relies on an intricate juxtaposition of shapes, fabrics and colors. The brand is also the first to have been featured on Not Just a Label.

Badawiah stems from a Saudi-Argentinian designer, whose passion has always been for jewelry designs. Her brand is yet another testament for her love for design and travel.

Charmaleena, a fine jewelry brand, is that of great Arab inspirations. Founded by sisters Leena and Hala M. El Khereiji in 2012, the creations are adorned with diamonds and semi-precious stones.

Daneh was founded by Daneh Buahmad in 2010 and has since then satisfied the modern womans’ needs by offering sophisticated and experimental designs.

Fyunka is the product of Alaa Balkhy who draws inspirations from canvas and PVC. Many international publications have showcased this eponymous such as CNN.com and Grazia.

Haal Inc draws attention a woman’s flair what with its finely created abayas.

Haifa Fahad is a locally made brand that mainly focuses on embellished abayas for men and women and is available at Harvey Nichols Riyadh, 4 Concept Store in Kuwait and on the brand’s official website.

Mashael Al Rajhi’s passion for artisanal values has been translated into a ready-to-wear women’s and men’s brand, which is known for its irreparable sophistication and glamor. The designer introduced her brand to the world at London Fashion Week in 2016.

Chador Saudi Arabia is also known as Noral Aldamer’s brand, which is currently based is New York. The designer is also enrolled at Parsons and has an undeniable thirst for a fashionable experience with an established brand.
