Just when you thought the 69th edition of the Festival de Cannes couldn’t possibly get any better, the 12 day-fiesta rocks the fashion scene with the opening of the new Dior boutique, to joyfully celebrate international cinema. Designed by the architect Peter Marino the three-floor boutique blooms at the heart of 7 Boulevard de la Croisette, where a wide range of women’s and men’s leather goods, timepieces, jewelry, ready-to-wear and footwear collections will satisfy Dior fans’ voguish buds.
The refined boutique will carry us all into a fashion wonderland, chockfull of beautiful artworks, from Russell Woodard’s armchairs, Wouter Hoste’s lamps and Oyoram’s animated mural, while the gray and white atmosphere merged with the neo-Louis XVI medallion-back chairs bringing back the memories of the Maison’s iconic boutique in 30 Avenue Montaigne in jolie Paris.
