Made to inspire and sewn to bring out women’s most unique features, Dima Ayad’s eponymous line is one of great frivolity.

Apart from her irreparable taste, the Lebanese designer has long had a knack for satisfying a woman’s most fashionable needs and oh did it show! Ever since she launched her label back in 2010, she has developed a long list of great achievements, which eventually led to her nomination as Best Regional Designer at the Grazia Middle East Style Awards 2011.

Her designs embody the sensibility of every woman ever so majestically. They simply are…Dima Ayad worthy!

This season, the successful designer has turned to a more simplistic-meets-gorgeous approach, bringing forth Kaftans and Abayas suited for Ramadan and many other occasions as well.

“I didn't want this collection to be labeled Ramadan. Kaftans are worn on the beach, they are worn on a cool summer night, and these gowns can also be worn for a wedding! The beauty of the pieces is that they can easily be dressed up or down and they are very comfortable too.” Dima Ayad

Riding into the sunset, the Dubai-based designer has hence picked up the threads of a breezy collection, full of the joys of lace adding, sheer extensions and bold shades, intricately set on a much-sophisticated ardoise. Think cape-inspired Abayas, long flowy robes and delicate sheer paneling to top it all off!

I wanted this collection to be an extension of what Dima Ayad is true to. Structured lace, sheer paneling and block colors. AW16 was exactly that. We also used similar colors since Ramadan is very much a part of this season and the wardrobe must be aligned.” Dima Ayad

With an insane sense of details and a firm grasp on her own identity, Ayad is sure to create ravages along the way! But let’s call a spade a spade and attest to the designer’s jaw-dropping style. Her unique touch, ergo the “sheer” paneling, is sophisticated and refined - and quintessentially Dima!

“The main feature across all of them is the special lace, always found on top; intricate and subtle but at the same time exaggerated. It speaks for itself. And it most certainly is unique.” Dima Ayad
