Fashion often suspends belief and in Rome this evening under the summer night sky the Fontana di Trevi came to life like an enchanted forest as models walked across water thanks to a clear perspex runway in Fendi's first Couture show marking 90 years of the fashion house. Entitled Legends And Fairies this was a celebration of La Dolce Vita. Lagerfeld flew guests from Paris to Rome on chartered planes complete with Fendi logo interiors. Kendall Jenner opened the show in a blue astrakhan swing coat and red ankle boots. Bella Hadid closed the show in a long forest green cape that looked like it had been hand painted with scenes of idyllic nature and ethereal fairies. Fur roses and details adorned empire line evening dresses and royal blue and luscious fur coats looked like embroidered chanted forests. It was left to the left to the king of this fairy world Karl Lagerfeld to take his bow - on water.
