Paris Fashion Week has been home to one outstanding collaboration between Creative Consultant and founder of DesertMannequin.com Anum Bashir and Natuka Karkashadze, founder of Tbilisi based RTW label N-DUO. The result?  A smashing co-designed collaborative, also known as “Girl Meets Boy”, reflecting on the frivolous friendship between the power duo.

“Overall, I wanted to work with Natuka to create a collection that was a balance of genders, but that also represented our individual boyish and yet feminine styles as well. This is prevalent in the cuts, which are more masculine in some looks, for example the suiting, whilst the color choices are more feminine. We wanted to contrast textures and so juxtaposed the likes of lace with corduroy to reflect this dichotomy”, said Anum Bashir.

As they exchanged ideas and thoughts, the two fashion mavens prepared their final Fall/Winter 2017-2018 collection which has been unveiled in Paris.

 “I'm really excited to be in this journey with Anum. It was like working with a soulmate who understands your ideas without any further explanation. I love her vision - it's so fresh and positive! She is a real N-DUO girl with an experimental aesthetic, the girl who is excited by her favorite pieces and is always creating something imaginative,” added Natuka Karkashadze.

The collection is nothing short of a treat for sore eyes, bringing forth a double breasted boyfriend cut corduroy suit, soft tailoring pajama combos with tonal silk paisley prints and velvets and a raspberry velvet puffer coat- amongst others. To. Die. For.
