While we definitely don’t think that height matters, the general public seems to always think that there are pros and cons for being tall or short. For some reason, the grass always seems greener on the other side! Lately, it’s been really hard to ignore fashion’s love-affair with all things flat, from the laid-back slides to the funky slippers. So how could one create the illusion of extra height without wearing heels? And how could one show off a slender figure without having to forgo fashion?
There are a busload of styling tips for those of you who wish to maximize your fashionable input. So embrace your height ladies, there’s nothing more attractive than self-confidence!
Do wear a monochrome outfit. A single color can go a long way, creating an elongated silhouette.
Don’t go for shirtdresses. They might hide any unwanted curves, but they’ll just ruthlessly eat out your small figure!
Do wear pointy heels, as they will make your legs look like they just came out of a magazine!
Don’t wear horizontal stripes. You know the drill; vertical lines make you look taller and slimmer!
Do go for fitted clothes and say goodbye to volumes and whatnot. A small figure demands delicate proportions.
Don’t wear cropped pants, as they make your legs look thicker. What you want to do is pick styles that cover your ankles, such as flared pants.
Do create an hourglass silhouette. Add belts, shorten the hemlines…whatever it is you have to do to make your figure look leaner.
Don’t wear ankle strap heels. You don’t want to divide your legs, do you now?
Finally, if you’re into the maxi-skirt trend, than do pick a sleek skirt.
