Meteoric Masterpiece: Breitling and Erling Haaland Launch a Cosmic Chronomat

A star footballer meets stellar materials in a bold collaboration where no two timepieces are alike.

Breitling has unveiled a groundbreaking collaboration with football sensation Erling Haaland: the Erling Haaland Signature Chronomat, a limited-edition collection that merges horological heritage with materials from the stars.

This stellar release includes two limited editions – the Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 in stainless steel and platinum limited to 500 pieces, and the Chronomat B01 42 in 18k red gold limited to 250 pieces – both featuring dials crafted from rare Muonionalusta meteorite. A third, ultra-exclusive “One of 5” edition, designed solely for Haaland and his inner circle, completes the trio.

Haaland’s personal touch is visible throughout: from the selection of the Chronomat model to the inclusion of his initials and iconic goal celebration pose engraved on the casebacks. “I wanted something unique,” said the Norwegian striker. “The meteorite dial made it cosmic – literally.”

The meteorite, estimated to be over 4.5 billion years old, lends each watch a one-of-a-kind Widmanstätten pattern. According to Breitling CEO Georges Kern, “Haaland plays like he’s from another planet. A meteorite dial was the perfect match.”

With COSC-certified movements and Haaland’s meteoric rise mirrored in its design, this launch is a bold fusion of performance, rarity and personality. Each piece is delivered in a bespoke wooden box with a signed note from Haaland, sealing the collaboration with a personal touch.

For collectors and fans alike, this is more than a watch – it’s a slice of space and sporting greatness on the wrist.
