Jonathan Anderson’s vision for the House introduces youthful characters who roam Paris as modern-day flâneurs, drifting without aim until they reach the Dior boutique on Avenue Montaigne. Nearby, set into the pavement, a small plaque bearing the name Paul Poiret catches their attention. The famed couturier once worked just steps away, known for fluid forms and for drawing inspiration from North Africa, the Middle East and East Asia. This encounter becomes a catalyst. Stirred into motion, the Dior aristo-youth forms new stylistic connections driven by joy and spontaneity, emerging with spiky yellow hair, embroidered epaulettes and an eclectic sense of opulence.

Contrasts are woven together: codes, Dior signatures, echoes of Poiret, denim and parkas. Tailoring is slender and seen in elongated jackets, shrunken blazers, tailcoats, cropped Bar jackets and lean trousers, while outerwear blends technical function with richness. Masculine and feminine boundaries blur, as Donegal tweeds, velvets, jacquards and embroideries enliven a sombre palette.
