Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018, Josette’s life changed overnight. Through surgery, treatment and the physical and emotional challenges that followed, her experience transformed the way she thought about her own health – and the importance of speaking openly about breast cancer.
By sharing her experience, Josette also encouraged someone incredibly close to her – her mother – to prioritise her breast health and get screened, leading to her mother’s breast cancer being detected early.
Today, as part of The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign, Josette is sharing her story once again to encourage more women and families to talk openly about breast health and understand the importance of early detection.
Her story is a powerful reminder that one conversation can encourage someone we love to prioritise their health – and that early detection matters.
