For Spring-Summer 2027, Nicolas Ghesquière places ergonomics at the heart of the Louis Vuitton women’s collection, Ergonomie, drawing on the relationship between the human body, movement and design. The collection connects this modern approach with the House’s heritage, sharing an ideal of lightness and forms shaped by function, movement and travel.

Rather than imposing an external silhouette, the garments respond to the physique within. Fluid and flexible, they mold to the body like a second skin, allowing freedom of movement while maintaining structure without rigidity. Materials and silhouettes are calibrated to a body in motion, creating pieces that appear effortless while revealing complex construction.

Ultra-light fabrics define the collection, including double and triple composite chiffons, carré silks, and scarf fabrics in silk and cashmere. Traditional tailoring is streamlined by removing internal layers, while knitwear adds definition and footwear grounds the weightless forms.

The show’s scenography contrasts a static cityscape with singular figures in constant motion, amplifying the presence and dynamism of the human body.
