This year can’t get any more exciting as Galeries Lafayette joins Dior in celebrating the house’s 70th anniversary. In 1947, Christian Dior presented his first Haute Couture collection and his first perfume, Miss Dior. This moment marked a revolution in femininity that set the tone for the collections of the Creative Directors who have succeeded him, right up to Maria Grazia Chiuri today.

In addition to the “Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams” exhibition running until January 7th at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Dior will be celebrated at Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann until October 10th. It’s with a pop-up store, 11 window displays and the “I Feel Blue” exhibition at the Galerie des Galeries that the famed department store contributes to this celebration.

Hosted at La Galerie des Galeries, the “I Feel Blue” exhibition showcases 12 looks in blue designed by Christian Dior. Blue also takes over the window displays to immerse us in the “I Feel Blue” experience even more. Why blue? Well, Monsieur Dior used this color to express his fondness of the color of the kings of France and explored his gradations in sensational designs now present in the Maison’s archives.
