For Spring-Summer 2018, Dubai-based designer Ayesha Depala has conjured up the duality of the modern woman with a 32-piece ready-to-wear line that blends femininity and masculinity all in one. Indeed, the designer mends the bridge between the delicate and the strong by bringing forth a series of numbers that feature cold-shoulder cuts and voluptuous ruffles as part of a sporty-chic mood.

The line pegs itself as a melting pot of traditional vibes and new discoveries, as classic but twisted tailoring develops into complex constructions – think clothes turned into unique shapes and functions. To top it all off, the pieces are crafted with ultimate luxury using new techniques and materials to instill the collection with lavishness and elegance. Jackets feature utilitarian pockets, asymmetrical dresses are designed from laser-cut crepe and a casual bomber jacket is upholstered with 3D floral applique. The dynamism of the collection is showcased through the combination of contrasting elements such as a jogger made out of sleek black silk. Because yes, femininity means power, in every single way.
