It’s at the edge of the Grands Boulevards, the birthplace of the House, that Longchamp chose to celebrate 70 years of creativity and freedom in the Palais Garnier. And so,

the steps of the Opera House were covered with a majestic green carpet, where a line of pageboys in tuxedos wearing a phantasmagorical horse-head mask – reminiscent of the House’s famous logo – welcomed the guests into the enchanting location.

"Since 1948, our grandparents and parents have passed on to us the passion for creation and the desire to always be unique and unexpected. At Longchamp, our eagerness drives us to take risks and to be unique in the way we diffuse our French lifestyle, at once confident, impertinent, and light-hearted. As a family business, our true luxury lies in our independence and authenticity,” Jean Cassegrain.

The theme “movement and dance” was very much alive inside the sumptuous interiors of the Palais Garnier, staying in line with Creative Director Sophie Delafontaine’s vision.

"For 70 years, the House of Longchamp has been in constant motion. This is the hallmark of our family: moving forward, innovating, and always seeking to improve. It is a permanent challenge for a family business in the hyper-competitive world of fashion that never stops. Movement is a state of mind: the Opéra Garnier and the world of dance perfectly illustrate this philosophy.” Sophie Delafontaine.

Longchamp hence commissioned the talented Dimitri Chamblas, former Artistic Director of the Opéra Garnier and current Dean of the School of Dance at the Californian Institute of the Arts, to create a unique and universal ballet. Along with his troupe of thirty dancers, he offered guests an exceptional experience, where culture and language intertwine in the midst of the body’s universal language.

The show was well-acclaimed by 2000 guests, including Kendall Jenner, the House’s new brand ambassador, Leila Bekhti, DJ Feder, DJ The Avener and Pierre Hermé – amongst others.

The Cassegrain Family held an exceptional evening, where Philippe Cassegrain, President, and his children Jean Cassegrain, CEO, Sophie Delafontaine, Creative Director and Olivier Cassegrain, Director of American boutiques, addressed their warmest thanks to their guests.
