Worn by Cara Delvingne, Irina Shayk and so many more celebrities, trench coats now come in many different shapes and sizes – much to our eternal content. Granted, whenever we think of the trench coat, the image of Burberry’s staple coat automatically comes to mind, but we’re in the middle of the 21st century and the brands featuring the ever-so famous trench coat are piling up. So our question is; what to choose and why?
For starters, one thing we’ve noticed in this season’s outstanding trench coats is that they’ve also been adapted to the latest trends. For instance, Michael Kors unveiled a leopard trench coat – sigh – while Sies Marjan launched a vinyl trench and Ralph & Russo designed a maxi one. All hail creativity! So yeah, basically, you don’t have to stick to your average trench coat anymore – also known as the basic beige one. You can now shift your energy towards more spiced up coats, be it in terms of colors, fabrics or even lengths.
