Ever since designers sent out models all curled up in warm grandpa knits, the fashion industry went crazy with this trend. I mean, what’s not to like? Feeling of coziness? Check! Warmth? Check! Style? Check, check and check!

However, while some people pulled it off ever-so effortlessly, others were just victims of this double-edged sword.  After all, it’s a bit tricky to counteract the androgynous side of knits. One way to do so is by pairing your knit with a preppy A-line skirt – think a good-old black vinyl skirt for instance – or to go for skinny trousers. Another factor in this dilemma is the style of said knitwear, the color or even the size. While some would rather go for oversized knits, others would much rather highlight their body with fitted ones. At the end of the day, what matters is that you balance out the masculine side of the knit with your one and only feminine side.
