It’s at the heart of the Place Vendome, and more specifically at the Hotel d’Evreux that Giorgio Armani himself staged his Couture Spring-Summer 2019 collection, radiating a colorful sophistication through a series of colorful looks. And colorful they were! After all, there’s no better designer then Armani himself to prove that Haute Couture and suits do go together!

The show kick-started with a slew of regal metallic suits, that were sure to electrify the crowd of show-goers in all the best ways. His idea here was very clear: clashing colors and patterns can still be considered elegant and here’s a collection of exquisitely colorful looks to prove it. Think electric blue and red bottoms mixed and matched with monotone black and white blazers, a sequined midi skirt paired with a more pared down vest, and a flapper-style fringed headpiece that could only be described as the cherry on top of the very elegant cake. But it was not just about the clashing yet mesmerizing color-blocking, it was also about the new vision of the designer, one that was attained through a diversity of fabrics, from a head-to-toe vinyl ensemble to sequin galore and one amazing flapper ankle-grazing dress with matching gloves. It might have been a huge step out of his usual zone, but it was a perfect one.
