It’s in the grand hall of the Deposito – a venue part of the Fondazione Prada complex – that Miuccia Prada unveiled her Fall/Winter 2019-2020 collection, and it was as interesting as a runway show can be.

Entitled “Prada Anatomy of Romance”, the collection was a beautiful combination of edgy-meets-flower-power. Think warrior hairdo – two billowing braids – combat boots and pieces exploding with 3d flowers. Need we say more? A dark color palette of black and grey tones was set alight with pops of colors found on the 3d flowers and on the accessories, from the creepers to the handbags. Midway through the show, a series of wool Bardot dresses gave the collection a little sultry spice, while other models made their way unto the runway in lace midi skirts at times, and cargo pants with matching parkas at other times.

It was a rich combination of themes, colors and style – something Miuccia Prada has perfected along the way.
