Looks like Giorgio Armani was bringing back Saturday night blues to its lingo, because his Fall/Winter 2019-2020 Men’s and Women’s collection was all about blue. On a normal day, the color itself renders a much-needed calmness and sophistication. But this time around, it was all about the charming poise and elegance of the modern woman.

And so, for a brand that has always been recognized for its finely tailored suits, the collection rendered just that. Think jacket-and-trousers ensembles outlined with blue-ish hints, navy bomber jackets, logo tees and blue blouses. The tops were paired with velvet trousers while other ensembles featured a play on blues and re-ignited the fashion industry’s love for black-meets-blue. Ruffles were aplenty, taking over accessories such as bags and pieces such as jackets and trousers.

The final pieces were all but ephemeral, ranging from one-shouldered jumpsuits to embellished and beaded jackets, sequins and feathers and velvety dresses. Simple but classy – that’s Armani’s motto.
