Everyone, forget everything you thought you knew about Dolce & Gabbana and make way to the Eleganza show. Roughly translated, “Eleganza” meant elegance, and elegant it was.

The runway show kicked off with models drenched in pure poise, as they sashayed onto the runway in three-pieces suits, embellished bowties and opulent fedoras. The black and white ensembles were as painstakingly charming as tuxedos can be, giving off just enough hints of femininity. Along came more sensual pieces, from voile warp dresses with fur trimmings to silk gowns and playsuits outlined with lace embellishments. It’s as if a sophistication pajama party was coming alive, as fifties-inspired pajama pieces appeared on the runway. The mood then shifted to a more “Feline” one, what with the galore of leopard numbers taking over the catwalk, from pussy-bows to bardot dresses and sequined skirt-suits. There were some baroque-inspired capes, floral retro fit and flare dresses and of course, statement headpieces – the power duo’s favorite accouterments. With an attention to details and an unimaginable display of beauty and elegance such as this one, how could one not be infatuated with the designer’s unique creativity?
