She’s classy, she’s sultry and she’s forever elegant; yes, the Elie Saab woman was alive and well today, at the heart of the French capital. The collection consisted of crepe midi dresses embellished with waves of ruffles and paired with matching leather boots. The dresses had poise written all over them and one velvet smoking suit in particular was ever so dreamy.
Midway through the show came a galore of lavish prints, splashed all over jackets, coats and mini dresses. The gowns, on the other hand, were as extravagant and opulent as gowns can be. There were volumes, big proportions, bows and exceptional fabrics. Sequins were obviously a thing, taking over jumpsuits, capes and of course, smoking suits. The combination and mishmash of fabrics create a fabulous outcome, one that the Lebanese designer has always taken pride in.
But hey, if it’s embroidered, embellished and well, Elie Saab…we want it.
