“Camp: Notes on Fashion”. That was the theme looming over the 71st Annual Met Ball on a calm Monday night – a night that soon turned into a fiery, stormy pink carpet chockfull of superb costumes and diaphanous gowns.
The Costume Institute Gala at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art is the biggest event of the year in terms of the year in terms of opulent and daring fashionable choices. Just last year, our favorite celebs surprised us with a set of gorgeous gowns, from Blake Lively’s rich costume to Kendall Jenner’s white ensemble and dreamy ponytail – it was all there! This year in particular, the theme clearly dictates that the choices include all things ironic, humorous and parodic. And so it only seems fair celebrities turn up in the most extravagant of outfits – we’re looking at you Kylie Jenner. So who wore what and how? Worry not, we’ve got it all covered.
