Yes, the British Fashion Awards were special this year with Mr. Armani receiving the Outstanding Achievement Award for his creative contribution to the fashion industry. What made the event – which was held at the Royal Albert Hall in London – even more special is the presentation of the designer’s latest Armani Privé haute couture collection.

After the show, Mr. Armani was accompanied by Julia Roberts and Cate Blanchett on stage and the two beauties expressed their respect and love for him by presenting him with the award. As guests from across the world joined the designer and his niece Roberta Armani to celebrate this prestigious moment, it was Mr. Armani’s turn to treat London to a special gift, which was a beautiful surprise performance from his long-time friend Eric Clapton who played “Tears in Heaven” and “Layla”.
