The endless colors of summer were blooming so passionately at Georges Hobeika’s Spring-Summer 2020 Haute Couture collection, that one would think it was that time of the year again. Indeed, the Lebanese designer drew inspiration from Sardinia’s beautiful shores, the reflection of the turquoise Mediterranean sea and surely, nature, to highlight his never-ending love for joy and liberty.
Of course, that meant a freedom of movement like no other, apparent through satin blazer dresses embellished with effervescently colored feathered sleeves and statement geometrical complements that added this je ne sais quoi to the pieces. The designs were all synonymous with a glamorous elegance, as models sashayed their way unto the runway in sheer dresses with crystal embroideries cascading down their bodies at times, and ruffled fabrics with embroidered petals at other times. The gowns were as majestic as gowns could be and the colors as lively and invigorating as ever. Cuts that put into sight a woman’s greatest assets and fabrics that highlight her inner beauty in the best way ever were all the rage, and this collection is certainly Hobeika’s unique way of emphasizing a woman’s fabulousness.
