“Une Lettre D’Amour”…roughly translated, this sentence means “A Love Letter” and it also represents Clare Waight Keller’s take on Givenchy’s Spring-Summer 2020 collection. With that in mind, one could only expect romantic dresses and charming pieces. And charming they were.

The designer, who has designed for one too many celebrities from Meghan Markle to Harry Styles, has always succeeded in bringing regal air to her collections for Givenchy. And this season, she upped her ante by introducing a slew of statement pieces that will surely be making their way to the red carpet. The collection included several ruffled numbers with volumes and statement shapes, alongside a series of voluptuous dresses that seemed to twirl in a whirlpool of forms and figures. The color palette was the cherry on top of a very enticing cake, with colors ranging from neutral tones to more lively hues of bright pink, blue and yellow. There were feathers on 3D appliques flower dresses and a sort of artistic petal hanging from the models’ backs. Truly a nod to all-things romantic!
