If you were looking for some Fendi excellence today, then boy did Silvia Venturini Fendi exceed your expectations. In fact, for her second solo collection, the talented designer chose volumes and a retro-kind of sophistication to portray the Fendi woman. Long story short, she brought back the sweet memories of statement puffy sleeves, tight waists and puffy skirts. Did someone say time machine? To top it all off, the House’s moniker fur coats were well on display, revealing Fendi’s timeless history of fine craftsmanship and intricate techniques of elegance.

Surely, the Hadid sisters made their way onto the runway in leather ensembles - all of which were worthy of the House’s irreverent legacy. There were a series of animal printed coats, paisley-printed jackets and oversized knits paired with midi skirts. The mélange was marvelous and the color palette even more so. In the accessories’ section, what struck us most was the oversized Fendi bag that could have easily doubled as a fancy shopper bag. Lovely contrasts, statement proportions and retro hairdos - kind of what Fendi is all about!
